A relationship message recognizes a moment

Birthday greetings, holiday notes, and appreciation messages focus on the relationship itself. They should be relevant and welcome, but usually do not require an operational response. Their tone can be warm and brief without adding an artificial sense of urgency.

A reminder helps with a concrete event

An appointment or renewal reminder points to something specific that needs attention. It should make the date and next step clear. Do not classify a message by the artwork alone; a festive image does not change a deadline email’s underlying purpose.

Keep the distinction honest

Review the email type and applicable preferences when configuring the workflow. Avoid using one category merely to reach people restricted under another. A promotional request does not become a service reminder because it includes the word ‘important.’ Matching the message, settings, and audience makes the communication easier to explain and keeps your client-care routine coherent.
