Choose a selected audience for a holiday message

Relevance matters more than including everyone in a seasonal greeting.

Start with the occasion

Ask which clients would reasonably appreciate this specific message. Geography, the client’s expressed preferences, and the relationship itself can all matter. Avoid inferring a religious observance from a name, language, or appearance. A general seasonal message may be a better fit when you do not know.

Review the selected contacts

Use the audience choices supported by the automation to select the intended recipients. Inspect the actual records rather than relying only on the audience’s label. The selection should be understandable to someone reviewing the workflow later.

Keep eligibility in the picture

Selection does not override recipient preferences or Do Not Email restrictions. Before activation, preview the wording and confirm the schedule. After the run, use the Sending Log to understand what happened. If only part of the selected group qualifies, investigate the reason before changing preferences. A smaller, relevant audience can be the correct outcome.
