Create a birthday message without a sales pitch
Let a birthday greeting be a small act of recognition.

Keep the purpose generous
A short wish can feel complete without a booking link or promotional offer. Begin with the person’s name when appropriate, wish them a good day or year ahead, and sign off with your recognizable business identity. Resist adding unrelated announcements to fill space.
Choose matching artwork
Use a birthday card that suits your brand and relationship with the audience. The image can provide warmth, while the body provides readable text for people whose email client does not immediately display images. Make sure any words printed on the artwork agree with the body.
Review the audience and data
Check birthday information and applicable preferences before activating the rule. A fictional example might read: ‘Hi Maya, wishing you a wonderful birthday and a happy year ahead. Warmly, Willow Studio.’ Adapt the wording to your voice rather than treating it as a guarantee of engagement. The value is in remembering appropriately and consistently, without placing an obligation on the recipient.
