Subject lines for useful appointment reminders
Help the reader recognize the purpose before opening the email.

Name the event plainly
Use a subject that identifies the reminder without exaggeration. ‘Your appointment reminder’ is more useful than a vague ‘Important update’ when the email simply confirms an upcoming visit. Include personalization only if the saved data supports it reliably.
Keep private details out
Subjects can appear on notification screens and in shared inboxes. Avoid unnecessary sensitive descriptions of the appointment. Put essential practical details in the body and use the level of specificity appropriate to your relationship with the client.
Match the message below
In the body, state the saved date and time and explain what the client should do if plans change. Do not use urgency in the subject when the content is a routine courtesy. Preview the subject on a narrow screen, where long wording may be truncated. A clear subject and a short body work together to make the reminder easy to understand and act on.
