A preview arrived, but an automation did not

The preview checks presentation and sending

Send to myself uses a saved template and sample client details through the connected account. It can help you inspect artwork, text, and sender identity. It does not run every condition that determines whether a particular client qualifies for a scheduled message.

Inspect the live conditions

Review the real contact’s dates, email address, and preferences. Confirm the automation’s audience, active state, template, lead time, and schedule. The preview may work correctly while a live record is missing the field needed for the occasion.

Use the log to narrow the issue

Look for the relevant sending attempt and result. If there is no matching record, inspect the expected timing and eligibility rather than assuming the preview should have triggered the rule. Keep the two checks separate in your troubleshooting notes. This makes it easier to explain why the message design is ready while a particular scheduled use still needs attention.
