Gmail readiness: the status to check before scheduling

A saved automation still depends on a working sending connection.

Look at the whole chain

A template can be ready and an automation can exist while Gmail still needs attention. Check Settings for the sending connection and review any status shown on the automation. Content, scheduling, recipient eligibility, and account readiness are separate requirements, so troubleshoot them separately.

Use a preview as a narrow test

A successful Send to myself preview is useful evidence that a saved message can travel through the connected account at that moment. It is not evidence that every client is eligible or that every scheduled date matches. Keep this distinction in mind when a preview works but an automated message does not appear.

Respond to changes promptly

If a connection needs to be refreshed, reconnect using the account intended for the business and recheck the displayed identity. Then inspect the Sending Log rather than assuming earlier attempts will automatically happen again. Resolve the specific issue before considering another send, and avoid duplicate attempts simply because the status was temporarily unclear.
