Recurring appointments need regular maintenance

Repeating dates save effort only when the underlying plan is still correct.

Confirm the pattern

A weekly appointment pattern should reflect what the client actually agreed to. Check the event timing and any recurrence controls available in your workflow. Do not use repeated records as a substitute for understanding whether the booking continues indefinitely or has a planned end.

Handle exceptions deliberately

Holidays, cancellations, and rescheduled sessions can interrupt a regular pattern. Inspect the relevant event and upcoming calendar before the reminder is due. A repeating schedule does not know about a change that has never been recorded.

Review the communication history

If a reminder has already been sent for a cancelled session, consider a personal clarification through your normal process. Check the Sending Log to confirm what happened. At the end of a series, review remaining dates and automations so the routine does not continue out of habit. Recurrence reduces repetitive entry, but dependable client care still requires a clear owner for exceptions.
